Hey, guess what? I’m crowdfunding to help launch Shop Brown Skin Dark Lips!
You might be wondering why. Well, you know I love beauty but did you know I love stationery too? It seems like I am in good company so I wanted to share my passions and create something useful.
I want to bring you diverse and inclusive beauty products, introduce you to indie brands, small brands, women-owned and led brand, British brands, Black-owned brands and I am also open to suggestions – I am here and happy to chat! I want to raise up those who might not otherwise get seen, especially as I have struggled with feeling unseen for much of my life. The song from Chicago the Musical, ‘Mr Cellophane’, really resonates with me and I want to finally stop the sound of the sad violins!
The dream
My dream is to get a diverse set of makeup facecharts into the hands of educators, enthusiasts and makeup artists. Diversity is not just about having 100 foundation shades. We need to stop hearing stories about makeup artists not having the kit to cater to Black people, or hairstylists declaring that they can’t style curly or afro hair and thinking that’s ok.
My online store is my way to make a change from a place of sincerity and experience and I am inviting you on that journey. Please also know I am doing this all by myself from setting up the shop to curating collections, everything. I’m learning so many skills but wow, it’s a lot!

As we are all multi-faceted, I wanted to make sure the site was useful, fun, and a little different. I didn’t want to follow the same formats that have been set by others. Why do that? Again, let me know what you would find helpful, what you want to see, and I will consider it.
