They say that crowdfunds are more likely to be successful when you post a video. So late one night, I filmed a video! At a time when I should have been taking my makeup off, I was applying it. I needed to keep it simple and quick whilst at the same time wanting to make an impact and hopefully distract from my tiredness! So, here’s my attempt at how to look less tired by using makeup.
I decided to use the classic method of lining the eyes with pencil eyeliner and smoking it out with a brush. I then went over the lashline again to intensify the colour which is especially effective when you have hooded eyelids. The easiest one colour ‘eyeshadow’ ever! I then decided that I needed to lift the inner corners so I blended in a little silver eyeliner pencil. I used Urban Decay 247 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Roxy (blue) and Cuff (silver). I finished my eye with Pat McGrath Labs Fetish Eyes Mascara on the top and bottom lashes to really open up my eyes.
My base was all Pat McGrath Labs because it is so quick and easy to apply. I get good coverage and maximum glow and skin confidence with minimal effort. I used Skin Fetish: Sublime Skin Foundation in Medium 19, Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Concealer in M19 and set both of them using Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Setting Powder in Medium 3 and Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Blurring Under Eye Powder in Medium.
To warm my face up and gently contour, I used NARS Bronzing Powder in Casino then added some colour to my cheeks using Maréna Beauté Blush Tarou in No. 06 Marron Peach and I highlighted with Bobbi Brown Luxe Illuminating Powder in Golden Hour (limited edition).
As my eyes were so dramatic I tried to keep my lips neutral by lining them with Pat McGrath Labs PermaGel ultra lip pencil in Supernatural and finishing with Lust: Gloss in Peach Perversion.
