I’ve been quiet on the blog because I’ve been concentrating on Shop Brown Skin Dark Lips.
I wanted to create a makeup-inspired love card for Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day. I thought about all the perfect pairs in beauty, as in, what makeup can’t survive without another piece?
I thought about eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow but decided that the one thing we all must do it set our foundation.
I remember when a brand first started making foundation for darker skintones. Beforehand, I could only wear the eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss so I was really excited when they released foundation for my skin tone. The only problem was, they didn’t sell the setting powder to match. To me, that is ridiculous and looking back, it’s just offensive. Why would I wear foundation without setting it? Needless to say, I did not buy the foundation and never have. I knew the powder existed but they just couldn’t be bothered to stock it in the UK.
Remembering that, “You are the setting powder to my foundation” was born! They are an essential pair. I can probably think of a few more now, but this is the most important to me. We have history! I have printed a few and they are available from the shop.
