Discovered Beauty Box

Discovered Beauty Box

(Ad/Gifted)

Discovered Beauty Box is a new beauty box service catering to *all* women. I’ve unboxed the launch box on IGTV so take a look at that! Here’s a continuation of my first impressions and a mini review of what I love and not love. NOTE: this post contains spoilers.

Things I love

I love that you can either subscribe or buy one-off boxes. I am a fan of choice and this service gives me that. I have far too many products to justify spending £25 per month on yet more products I might not get to use. I might, however, decide I want to discover some new brands or products I don’t already have so I can just order a single box.

The value of the launch products far exceeded the £25 cost. The brush set alone was  £24.99.  I personally don’t buy beauty boxes just on the value of the products although I do love receiving value for money. No one wants to waste hard-earned cash!

There are two discount codes included which provides even better value. I like when this is offered, especially when a product might come in different shades or scents, and I’d like to try a different option.

From the packaging of each product, I get an overall sense of high quality. I will test my favourite products and share my thoughts on them individually.

The box itself is robust and the plastic envelope was cute. The box looks like it can be easily folded up and recycled.

Two of the brands were completely new to me (Skin Alchemist and Terre) so there was no risk of duplication! The products I received from the familiar brands were all new to my collection (Chentilly Cosmetics, By Firdous, Scrubz of London) and of course, I’m always happy to receive a replenishment of Raw Halo chocolate!

I love to try brands that are difficult to get hold of in the UK, especially if they are popular or well-established abroad, although see what I don’t love about it below.

Things I don’t love

I don’t love that the box is monthly because that is too frequent for me so there is the risk of missing out on something I like the look of if I don’t manage to buy a one-off box before they sell out. That’s probably specific to me though.

Although I love discovering new products, I find it just a tiny bit frustrating when I want to try more from a brand or replace a loved product and they are not for sale in the UK! I believe that Chantilly Cosmetics is US based and a quick search failed to produce a UK stockist. Perhaps Discovered Beauty will be the first.

Would I buy it?

The launch edition of the Discovered Beauty Box has reminded me about self-care and general wellbeing, especially with the inclusion of quality chocolate and a candle. It makes me feel fuzzy and warm inside! I look forward to seeing what else Discovered Beauty will have to offer in the future and I’m likely to try more boxes.

    1. Thanks for stopping by! It means a lot! Us mummys really need to remember to look after ourselves and this box makes it just that little bit easier.

I'd love to know what you think!
