Discovered Beauty Box January 2020*

January’s Discovered Beauty Box* has a “Refresh and Renew” theme. Here’s a quick first impressions post so it’s a complete spoiler. If you’d rather be surprised, I’ll give you your discount code upfront – BSDL15 – to get 15% off your first box. Now, if you want to see what’s inside, please read on. [*ad/gifted – I’m a Discovered Beauty Box Ambassador]

Ben & Anna is a new brand to me and I received a Lemon & Lime scented vegan natural deodorant. Surprisingly, I am really pleased to receive this because I have been wearing natural deodorants for a little while now and I’m still figuring out which ones work and which do not. As they are not anti-perspirants, they do not stop sweating (which is perfectly normal and natural anyway) but the right deodorant can give you the confidence that you will not repel too many people! You may receive the same scent as me or Japanese Cherry Blossom and they retail for £9.99

In my box there is a Salted Caramel & Macadamia Shower Burst shower gel by Being by Sanctuary Spa. I love the original Sanctuary Spa products so I’m pleased that Discovered Beauty Box has introduced me to this fun-looking diffusion line. You may get the same as me or the Cloudberry and  Lychee Blossom version. They retail for £7. Bring on an interesting shower!

Benecos is a brand I have encountered many times and the products I’ve tried have been good quality. In the January box you’ll get a Natural Face Primer which retails for £6.95. I use primer but tend to forget to apply it! This one contains organic aloe vera so this should be good for days when my skin is feeling sensitive.

Now, when I opened the Laritzy Cosmetics lip gloss in Aura I actually said “ooh”! It’s an iridescent pink which reminds me of the Pat McGrath Lust Gloss in Aliengelic. Also in the box is a lip gloss in shade 514 which looks like a clear gloss with a hint of pink. Laritzy is not easily available in the UK (I believe it is Canadian) and Aura is limited edition so subscribe to Discovered Beauty to make sure you get to try it! Each lip gloss retails for $16 so the duo retail for around £24 (depending on the exchange rate).  I find that the advantage of beauty boxes is getting to try products from abroad without the hassle.

Ooh, now I am looking forward to exfoliating with the Forsters Bamboo Massage Glove. It just seems so much more appealing than using a plastic based one which can be quite harsh on the skin. This one retails for £9.25 which is quite pricey but I’ll have to try it and let you know if it’s worth it!

The final item on the menu is an interesting but useful surprise – samples from A.O. Hosiery. They come in three shades of brown and you can use your unique code from your box to order your tights in your chosen colour and size. Unfortunately the shades look too dark for me but I know plenty of people that could wear them! The tights retail for £7. What a great idea!

Not listed on the menu were two tins of Lavera All-Round Cream made with organic shea butter and organic almond. I think this is a surprise treat, and a very nice one at that!
