Inside my Elemis Advent Calendar

Last year I decided to treat myself to a luxury beauty advent calendar. I am a fan of Elemis and I missed out on the calendar previously so I made sure I bought it this time. Elemis products are quite expensive and there were some I wanted to try but I didn’t want to risk spending a large amount of money on products that might not agree with me. That makes the Elemis advent calendar perfect for my needs. I get travel sizes of my favourites and it’s a low risk way to try new  things.

Now, let’s see how many regimes I can get out of these 25 little drawers!

The Pro-Radiance collection has the least products on the Elemis website so it makes sense that there are only 2-3 in the calendar. There is the Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser, Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm and a Gentle Foaming Face Wash in the same packaging. The Foaming Face Wash is probably a stand-alone product but I think I’ll use it in the morning with the Balm and use the Cream Cleanser in the evening.

Next I have some of the Superfood products. I wanted to try these and there’s even a Berry Boost product which is a new discovery for me. I have the Superfood Facial Wash, Superfood Day Cream and Superfood Night Cream. I also have two masks – Superfood Vital Veggie Mask and Superfood Berry Boost Mask. Both masks say the skin might tingle. I’m trying to figure out if that’s scary or exciting! Nevertheless, I look forward to trying this regime.

I then have some Peptide4 products. I have used some samples of these before but I haven’t given them a proper test. I can do that now though. According to the Elemis website, it seems the Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser can team up with this crew. I have the Peptide4 Thousand Flower Mask which has been recommended to me for a super skin boost, the Peptide4 Plumping Pillow Facial which I have used before and the Peptide4 Adaptive Day Cream.

Now on to the signature Elemis Pro-Collagen range. I have used a lot of these before and I really like them. There are also some products here that I haven’t tried so there’s still room for discovery. I love gel-eye masks so I’m glad I have the Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks which I’ve tried once before. I’ve also tried (and loved) the Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm and this sample pot came with a facecloth. This tends to end up in a lot of beauty boxes so I am a little disappointed. It would have been nice to try the Rose version.

The 25th December drawer contained a 50ml Pro-Collagen Marine Cream worth £87! Here’s the thing, the standard Marine Cream doesn’t do much for me – I get better results from Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Ultra Rich. Having said that, I will hang on to it to use with some of the other products in the advent calendar. I think it would have been better to include the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF30, especially as a Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash was included in the calendar. A high SPF must be used with it.

Some new products for me to try are the Balancing Lavender Toner although I think my skin would prefer a hydrating toner rather than a purifying toner, the Pro-Collagen Rose Facial Oil which I am particularly excited to try because I love facial oils, the Pro-Collagen Insta-Smooth Primer, the Pro-Collagen Eye Renewal and come Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss Capsules. The capsules contain facial oils for day and night and I have a 7-day supply. That is a very welcome inclusion in the calendar!

Finally, I have some body products. I have tried the Instant Refreshing Gel already – it was a must-have whilst pregnant during a heat wave! There is also a Skin Nourishing Body Cream. I am particular about my body creams – they have to absorb quickly and provide all-day moisture. This one is for very dry skin so it should be perfect.

I’m very pleased to have a Frangipani Monoi set – the Frangipani Monoi Body Cream, Shower Cream and Body Oil. The body oil was used on my when I went for a pregnancy massage at the House of Elemis and it is lovely but it was outside of my body oil budget at £40. I’m looking forward to trying the shower cream and the body cream.

If I’ve counted correctly, the Elemis Advent Calendar has provided me with four facial skincare regimes and one body care regime with a few added extras. The only thing to decide now is, which do I use first?

I'd love to know what you think!
