I’ve managed to have a play with most of the products in the January Discovered Beauty Box (*gifted) so I’m going to tell you all about them. At the end of the post you’ll find my code for 15% off your first box and if you subscribe before 10th January, you’ll get your 4th and 6th boxes half price!

The Ben & Anna Lemon & Lime scented vegan natural deodorant is quite fun. It doesn’t completely mask my natural scent, which will be attractive to some and repulsive to others, which is the point, but it adds a citrus smelling zest. I’m giggling inside thinking about it! I find that I have to keep my thumb or finger inside the tube to stop the stick from going back into the tube on application and it has to warm up a bit in your armpit before you can smooth it on so best for days when you are not in a rush. I like that the packaging is cardboard and that it (and the scent) is not gender specific.
The Being by Sanctuary Spa Salted Caramel & Macadamia Shower Burst is so much fun! It’s a delicious smelling mouse with a consistency similar to shaving gel and while using it I feel like I’m having a bubble bath in the shower. I love it!
The Laritzy Cosmetics lip gloss in Aura is a very pretty, glittery iridescent blue-toned pink. It looks so pretty on! It’s a bit sticky and I would say it has more of a metallic shine than being a gloss. The clear gloss is not sticky at all and rather than giving the illusion of fuller lips, it gives a wearable shine.
The Forsters Bamboo Massage Glove is just that, a massage glove. I mistakenly thought it was for exfoliation. For me, it’s too soft for dry brushing but it is certainly pleasant to use in the shower. My shower gel didn’t foam up very much on the glove but my skin was left feeling clean without being scrubbed raw. It was softer than using pure cotton and I’m so impressed I want to try more from this brand.
The Lavera All-Round Cream is aimed at those with sensitive skin and I can see why. It has a cooling effect and is moisturising but not quite moisturising enough for my dry skin. This cream would be good for me in the summer or on holiday to get some relief from the heat. Luckily, the little tins are very travel friendly!
Despite my original reservations, I used my code to order my tights from A.O. Hosiery in the shade “Maddie” which is the lightest shade of brown. It is a cool brown and the tights are very matte. The look is very natural – I was told it looked like I wasn’t wearing tights. At £4 each they are very affordable and they lasted all day without laddering which is great – I’ve tried some very expensive tights which ladder immediately! I would say my shade of brown skin is the lightest that could wear Maddie is it was just a tiny bit darker than me. I forgot to specify my size so I was sent M/L which was a little too big for me. I’m probably a S/M or just medium. I love that the tights came in a little pouch with a credit card-sized information card. I’ve come to really despise all the packaging that tights come in – the outer cardboard, inner cardboard and non-recyclable plastic film. I was actually really excited to see the little pouch because I’m always looking for things like that to carry spare tights in. Genius move!
